About Me
I graduated from a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Honours) at the University of Queensland. During my studies I completed my honours project in exercise for women with gynaecological cancer and completed placements in cancer care, women’s health, spinal cord injuries and the broader EP scope including musculoskeletal injuries and chronic health conditions. I also worked in neurological rehab as an allied health assistant whilst awaiting my accreditation.
I fell in love with being an exercise physiologist when I saw how much positive impact I could have on my client’s lives through evidence-based exercise prescription. There is a lot of misinformation and unqualified advice provided in the health & fitness industry which can be overwhelming and confusing for people who are starting out, or trying to achieve specific goals. I am passionate about educating my clients and the wider community on exercise, movement and human physiology to help them become more independent and create long-term lifestyle changes.
I also have a passion for working with people, and love being able to connect with my clients to learn about their journeys before they got to me. This helps me to create a treatment plan that is uniquely designed for the person I see, along with their injuries, conditions or health concerns. I covers all areas of the EP scope but have a special interest in the areas of exercise for cancer care, women’s health and neurological conditions.
